Culture Zine
TYPOGRAPHY
Project Overview
This project is my exploration on the topic of Introversion.
Objective
I consider myself an introvert and want to use this project as an opportunity for self-expression. Introversion is often misunderstood and unfairly linked to negative traits such as depression, rudeness, antisocial behavior, or loneliness. If you are an introvert, you know these stereotypes aren’t true. This zine is meant to educate others about introversion and challenge the misconceptions surrounding it.
Target Audience
This zine is meant to offer comfort to introverts and help them feel seen and heard. It can also serve as a guide for friends of introverts, giving them a better understanding of how to support and connect with them.
Design Approach & Initial Exploration
To challenge negative stereotypes of introversion, I plan to approach this project in a fun and playful way. The zine will feature memes, characters, and bold, loud typography, while the poster will be straightforward, serving as a strong statement.
Design System
The typeface and color choice has a fun, positive feel to it. Influenced by the intention of this design to challenge the negative stereotypes of introversion. The image of turtle represents the idea that introvert is shy and need layer of protection against the social environment.
