Design Brief
Remarkable Landmarks is an infographic poster about the Great Pyramids of Giza. With the target audience are tourist, the poster aims to introduce the history of the three main pyramids at Giza.
Initial Research Phase
The initial research phase involved examining images of the pyramids, ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, statues, and their distinct art style. This style subsequently informed the development of the initial sketches and icon system.
Illustration
The poster's main graphic is the Great Pyramids of Giza, and its accompanying icon system maintains the same hand-drawn, hieroglyphic style.
Graphic Model Study
Design System
The color palette is simple, designed to evoke the feel of earth, rock, sand, and desert. The typography system pairs a unique display typeface that complements the overall poster style with a more legible body typeface that still maintains a hand-drawn personality.
